We visited a referral Tuesday- but it was a low-key visit. IE, we didn't talk as referrals. Actually the person who referred us asked us to put our Book of Mormon in our bags while we talk- some background stuffs going on I guess. On the way we almost forgot, that would have been a huge bust. XD She works at a blanket store so we went to buy an apron and a floor mat (because they sell them at blanket stores haha) and when we went in there were 4 ladies all together. So they lady (owner, referral) helped us get our things, and then it was time to leave but my comp and I knew we had to stay and talk at least a little more, and especially introduce ourselves as missionaries. So, I played my 'foreigner' card. It has special powers. I asked "So, I'm new to Korea, but do all 4 of you work here?" And of course they all laughed at the ignorant forefinger and explained they were visiting, so we explained who we were and then headed out. HA USA power. XD XD
We visited a member and they fed us chicken and pizza, we were there with the elders, and they fed us SO MUCH and then ordered more! You could see the suffering on the faces of the Elders as they tried to move around and get all the food to actually go down haha. It was so funny.
We had a meeting this week to follow up with all the greenies in the area so I got to see everyone from my mtc dongi again! (All the people I came to Korea with.)
All the ones in our mission, that is. It was good, I learned lots of stuff about working with a trainer.
When we went sticker boarding this week I volunteered to hold the board. That’s an important job, because you talk to people as they come to the board to keep them in the area so a different missionary can get them to put their number down to get contacted about English class. Usually Elder Matthews holds the board, but I took it then. He reached for it out of habit, but I didn’t give it to him so he said, “Oh that’s right, you’re doing it. You’re kind of fun too.” Eh from him it was good a compliment about my entertainingness as any.
On the bus I talked to a girl and she will come to English class on Wednesday. She’s the same age as me! So crazy. I mean, its crazy to me, I don’t really know why.
Ahhhh then Thursday was temple P-day!!!!!! Woooo yeah!!!! On our way to the temple an interesting adventure ensued. When we got onto the platform for the subway I saw a blonde person from behind, and I figured he was an Elder, but he was alone. So I thought that his companion was just a little farther off so they could talk to lots of people or whatever.
When he noticed us he greeted us, but right away you could tell something was not exactly peachy. Apparently he had been talking to someone when the subway came, and his companion and the other set of Elders got on and left without him.
So, we became a trio. Probably one of the oddest trios you’ve ever seen. He used our phone and called the other Elders and said “I’m on an unauthorized exchange… with sisters.” BWAHAHAHAH. Too great. The poor Elder looked so lost the whole time. They agreed to meet at the next station, but when we got on the subway we found out the one we got on was a “Gupheng” which means it only stops at the major stops along the track, so the poor elder had to travel all the way to the stop for the temple with us. It was about and hour and 15 minutes. Haha. Yeah, so that was our unauthorized trio experience.
I listened to the temple session in Korean. J I got the translator just in case, but I ended up not needing it, which was super cool. There were very few things I didn’t understand. Gift of tongues all the way. :P
We met with lots of less actives this week. We are working with one woman to get her son baptized, he should have been baptized a few months back, but he wasn’t. So we taught him the Restoration simply, watched the video, and asked if he wanted to be baptized. He wasn’t quite sure just yet, but we found out he loves to pray, so we asked him if he would pray to ask God if he should be baptized, and he agreed. He’s such an adorable kid!
We had a special English class this week- English baseball. The pitcher *throws* a question in English and the students had to answer it. If they got it right they moved up a base, wrong it was an out. If they wanted to go more than one base they could throw a ball and make it into a basket, if they did they went 2. The farther basket was 3. It was a bunch of fun. It would have been more fun if more people had been able to come, but it was good anyway.
Our PI who came to church last week came to the RS activity and made bags with the other sisters, so we are well on our way. Really, the help of the members is super important. Being a convert isn’t easy, so all of you at home, do the missionaries and investigators a favor and be a friend to the investigators, and go out with the missionaries to teach! Offer to hold lessons in your home, it helps.
Other than that, there’s not much more to report about the week.
Oh but today we went to the beach! It was a bunch of fun. Its not really the beach persay, its like an island with a giant rock on the side and a rocky shoreline but a sandy beachy area as well. It was tons of fun! We went as a district, and one of the Elders who will go home soon said it was one of the best pdays he’s had. Woo XD Peace.
Yeah that’s about the just.
If you get the chance read Jacob 3:1. Prayer is important, don’t forget that not only does the Lord answer prayers; he’s always waiting for us to ask. So don’t forget to ask- he loves you enough to answer! And be patient, the answers aren’t usually a flash of lightning or an angel, but you’ll feel them. They don’t always come straight away, but that’s how God wants it. Just trust that they come and continue to ask in faith.

And for any of you that are wondering, I also love this Gospel. I love that every day I can become more like my Savior, and that by so doing I also come closer to him and feel His love more. As I feel that love I want to share that love. Guys, Jesus Christ loves all of us. He died for us. He died so that even though we mess up every day, and even though we make the same mistakes, we can be forgiven, and we can seek and find the power to move on and become better. Through Him we can overcome our trials, our weaknesses, and our fears. It’s true. Take it from someone whose honesty is her favorite trait. I will tell you from the honesty of my heart, this is God’s church. The principles and doctrines found here are true. They will lead you to God, and they will help you find peace and direction. That is my testimony. I trust God. I trust Him 100% I trust him 1000000000% I trust him with everything. I love him. I’m happy to be in His army doing his work, and I’m happy all of you can be there to see it happen.
